Join us for an evening of fine art and some rockin' rhythm & blues,
at the opening reception for "TAWA: Past, Present, and Forward," an exhibit of artwork featuring members of TAWA, the Trenton Artists Workshop Association. This exhibit is a celebration of thirty years of making art in the Greater Trenton region, and features work by founding and current TAWA members, nationally and regionally known artists, and emerging young artists.
The evening's entertainment will be provided by the Mojo Gypsies, with Jim "Bone Daddy" Quinlan on harp and vocals, John Andolino on drums, and Dave "The Professor" Orban manhandling the guitar and vocals (in addition to a manhandled painting on display!) Our very special guest this evening will be our old friend, Steve Duritt on bass, filling in for Marc Helberg, who's busy getting his summer bikini waxing. We'll be mangling our way through the best of blues and R&B, including some great songs from Ray Charles, Louis Jordan, T-Bone Walker, The Coasters, Little Charlie & the Nightcats, and a whole lot more!
So,
come on out, check out the artwork, grab a bite, and give a listen
to our special blend of Chicago-style and West-Coast
blues and R&B! You'll leave wondering "What was I thinking...?!?"
